Port Byron CSD’s boys cross country team won the Baldwinsville
Invitational Small Schools race on Saturday, Sept. 23, after
posting the low score out of the 35 teams competing.
Michael Schumacher led the boys with a time of 16:19 on the
three-mile course. He was supported by fellow teammates Braden
York (16:34), Jon Jackson (16:56), Jakob Dillon (17:39), Ben York
(17:46), Tad Patterson (19:16) and Robert Thompson (19:17).
PB's team score of 150 was enough to finish ahead of Homer's 181
and earn PB the title.
The PB girls had an impressive day as well. They finished fifth of
the 23 teams they competed against. Hannah Yorkey (19:18) led the
way for the girls, as Hannah Yorkey (19:55), Corrine Steve's
(22:23), Allayna Dillon (22:24), Molly Yorkey (22:45), Chelsea's
Rooker (23:33), and Rose Nageldinger (27:07) all competed as well.
